Chelsea have given themselves a fighting chance of qualifying for Europe next season with a 5-0 thrashing of West Ham United. Mauricio Pochettino's side followed their midweek win over Tottenham with another convincing display, with Cole Palmer opening the scoring in the 16th minute, before goals from Conor Gallagher and the impressive Noni Madueke assured the win before halftime. West Ham coach David Moyes looks as if he is leaving the club at the end of the season and two further goals from Nicolas Jackson in the second half after 48 and 80 minutes completed the rout. Brighton, who dominated the possession and chances in the game, but had to wait until the 87th minute when Joao Pedro scored a rebound after his penalty had originally been saved by Villa goalkeeper Robin Olsen. |
